Hidden Scam
They charge you very high commissions for everything and the website is still horrible. As they say "since 2013" they have had time to improve the service. Above now they tell you that due to inactivity they have the right to steal your assets, without even sending you an email notifying you that in 1 week you will lose everything if you do not show activity. They do it hidden so that when you enter you will be surprised and thus tell you: "These are the terms, having read them.

HitBTC withdrawal problems
After more than 4 months of being stuck in HitBTC's KYC process and their constant demands for more information I finally managed to withdraw my assets from HitBTC today. Amount in question was $20k+ so not loose change.
I write simply to tell you all there is hope you will get your assets back ... eventually, I didn't hold DOGE though so I can't offer any news there.
I will never use HitBTC again though as I am terrified they could freeze my account again for no reason and put me through hell again.
I rated HitBTC 1 out of 5 because I am not able to give a zero.
I would not advise anyone to use HitBTC as their policy of endless KYC during which your account remains completely frozen is a huge red flag.

Do not ever use this "exchange", they will steal all your money, lie to you, and then sell your KYC information on the dark net.
Do not ever use this "exchange". They are liars, theives and groups are already forming to pursue and arrest their "CEO" across the globe.
They've been "day trading" users' funds for years, and they're just horrible at it. You can see users' funds going out to Binance to be sold all the time.
Meanwhile, they only refund people who make enough problems for them on social media...
Do not EVER trust these people with your KYC information. If you're an EU resident and deposited without KYC, they can't then make you supply it in order to withdraw. If they hold your funds, that's fraud, go to your country's EDPB representative and file a criminal data protection violation!
The more people that do it, the more likely they'll actually close down this exchange.

Cant give negative stars so I give it…
Cant give negative stars so I give it one. For the past six months DOGE is not able to be withdrawn. When asked the tech support team states it is a technical issue. I have a suspicion they don't have enough DOGE to cover HitBTC's deposits. If you realize this all started happening on the most recent run up and HitBTC probably lost their shirts because they basically sold most of the DOGE coming in prior to the run up. Now that DOGE is actually worth a good deal more and want to withdraw, they have to shut down withdrawals due to HitBTC not having enough to cover the outflows.

The worst exchange
I can't give 0 stars but I really would like.
Stole our dogecoin. More than 17 months where it s impossible to withdrawal dogecoin... Everytime say that it s a technical problem but too long to found a solution is incompetence The other solution they say is to change our doge in other cryptocurrencies but the value of doge on hitbtc is divided by 4-5 that the normal... Escrow!!!
When they answer you they never want to found a solution with you.
The price is due to the impossibility to withdrawal Doge. Yes in this case the price is directly linked to the exchange. With the possibility to withdrawal Doge, the price would be different Date of experience: September 22, 2022

Thieving in plain sight. Soon gone?
Steer clear from this 'company'.
Like many people I invested a little money in some altcoins, many of which have disapeared by now. All good, part of the game. For which I did not account though, the fact that HitBTC decided to just come and grab MY altcoins by silently introducing an 'inactivity-fee'. No email, no warning. Like many people I didn't check this site often, nor did I make any trades because of the 'crypto-winter' only to discover being left with 0,00 dollar on my account after a year of two.
Oh by the way: it's a matter of time until they disappear completely "The FSC has been made aware of websites stating that HitBTC is an entity incorporated in the Virgin Islands. HitBTC was incorporated on 9th August 2018 under the BVI Business Companies Act, 2004. On 1st May 2020, HitBTC was struck off the Register of Companies following its failure to make payment of annual fees payable under BVI companies legislation and was subsequently dissolved on 4th July 2023. HitBTC has never been licensed or regulated to carry on any type of financial services business in or from within the BVI.
HitBTC is no longer registered as a Company under the BVI Business Companies Act.
The FSC has issued this Public Statement pursuant to Section 37A (1) of the FSC Act."
Update: HITBTC tried to take this review time 4(!) times. They kept bugging Trustpilot to ask more information, wether I was actually a client, etc etc. Needless to say, this review is here to stay since I am actually a seriously unhappy ex-customer. Date of experience: December 01, 2023

Never got my withdrawal POA from Binance to HitBTC
I am really disappointed because I did such a terrible mistake by choosing HitBTC to trade on 8th November as I withdrem POA from Binance and deposit it on HitBTC. The transaction has gone successfully through Binance without any problems but I've never seen it on my HitBTC account balance. However, I tried to get in touch with HitBTC support team on 2 different occasions Ticket ID 1383023 and Ticket ID 1381807. They have never getting back to me. I feel I'm scammed. Hopefully, they will get in touch with me after seeing this review as I don't know what to do

I have been trying to do a withdrawal…
I have been trying to do a withdrawal and everytime, I am given some fee to pay. They refuse to deduct the fees from my balance stating that during withdrawal period, my balance is immovable. I am only withdrawing a few coins and have a decent balance. Very annoying as I have agree to making these payments but when it comes towithdrawal, there's some sort of fee that can't be deducted from my balance.

Part 2 THE WHOLE COMPANY IS CORRUPT FROM THE TOP TO BOTTOM
This is part 2 to "THE WHOLE COMPANY IS CORRUPT FROM THE TOP TO BOTTOM"

So after they contacted me to say.....As my colleague stated, "it's not possible to perform any operations with INK, not only on HitBTC but on other services as well, as INK contract address is no longer operational." So the issue is not in our control.
I checked on the Ethereum Explorer to see that there were transfers on the ink and lord behold there were transfers happening after hitbtc said that they weren't any transfers happening. This exchange will lie to its customers about their assets.
Please stay away from this exchange they will keep your tokens and wont tell you about it till you try to withdraw. Hitbtc I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT YOU ON TWITTER, LINKEDIN and EMAIL why are you hiding my assets? PAY ME WHAT YOU OWE ME, DON'T ACT LIKE YOU FORGOT. MAJOR SCAM EXCHANGE

HITBTC - DOGE WITHDRAW
HITBTC DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY IT TRADES DOGE AT MARKET PRICES LESS THAN ABOUT 120%. THIS INDUCED ME TO BUY DOGE TAKE THEM AND SEE THEM AT MARKET PRICES. THEN I DISCOVERED THAT FOR MORE THAN A MONTH HITBTC HAS NOT ALLOWED THE WITHDRAWAL OF DOGE, IN FACT BY APPROPRIATING (I HOPE TEMPORARILY) OF OUR MONEY. NO TECHNICAL PROBLEM CANNOT BE SOLVED IN MORE THAN A MONTH ....... SO ..... Date of experience: May 21, 2021

Updated Jun 7, 2022 SCAMMERS! DO NOT USE!
DO NOT DEPOSIT ANYTHING WITH THESE SCAMMERS, CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED
dogecoin withdraw blocked for over 1 year
dogecoin trades for 20% of actual value
support team gives copy and paste answers over and over again like a bad nightmare
they also actively silence anyone who mentions anything about it on their chat or reddit page
EDIT: Jun 6
Look at their fn reply, same $hit over and over and over for 1 fn year. Give them the benefit of the doubt and say they did not short sell user's doge. Would you trust an exchange who claim they can't run a doge wallet for 1 year? Date of experience: May 28, 2022

HitBtc promised to participate in XYM airdrop
HitBtc promised to participate in XYM airdrop for XEM holders. They have never distributed XYM and have not answered why or when they will do so for several months. I will never trust or use Hitbtc again.
Update: Finally they distributed after a really long time. I will update it from 1 to 2 stars since the experience was really bad an I could not sell my xym while they had some value. Date of experience: September 18, 2021

Updated Nov 14, 2022 I lost all the money in my account because of a hidden inactivity fee
I lost all the money in my account, all of it, due to a hidden HitBTC fee. The charge is US$10 per month if you have more than 6 months of inactivity. This charge can only be discovered in the terms and conditions, since it is not reported on the fees page (like other exchanges or investment platforms do).
Avoid HitBTC. Perhaps what other surprises it has for its users. Date of experience: November 09, 2022

It is not worth to invest in hitbtc site
. After deposit forget your money. If you are trying to withdraw it will be always offline. I am having account from them from 2018 but I won’t resolve any of issues. Alway reply will be they will fix issue but you have to wait for decades or life to resolve those. Not worth place and worst customer support. Date of experience: May 21, 2021
